So it’s finally over, or atleast finally over for me. I’m sure for all of you this comic was a quick single read affair. But for me this comic was a massive undertaking that took much longer than expected. I’ll try and be organized and break this all down into nice neat paragraphs for you guys.

First of all the character in this page is named Camille, she’s about the closest thing I have to an avatar or fursona at the moment and this is just sorta a working design so I’m sure she’ll change a bunch in the future. I just figured I’d get that out of the way first.

Ok so this comic was started way back in February right after I started my final semester of college, I was a bio major so I guess that means I’m technically a scientist lol. Back then I wrote a nice 20 page script and began working figuring I’d get about a page done a week. Well I was really fucking wrong in that regard, I think the first 6 pages took me something like 8 weeks because I had no clue what I was doing or how to even set up the pages and layout the text in Krita. I actually ended up having to go off script around page 8 because I had vastly overestimated the amount of stuff I could fit on a single page. The long and short is that there was planned to be several other sex positions including tribadism and 69ing but those all got cut because I realized I wasn’t going to be able to do them at the pace I wanted to. I’m sure I could have fit them all in the 20 pages I set for myself but I wasn’t going to be happy with the results pacing and I really didn’t want to extend the comic any more than it already was since it was taking longer than expected due to school and having to work at the same time. But once school ended I was able to ramp up production of this comic a fair bit and keep to my planned goal of a page a week.

Over the course of this comic I did learn alot about things ranging from the basics of laying out my pages and text setting to more detailed work. As you may have noticed I changed how I drew genitalia part of the way through the comic because I really wasn’t pleased with the prior results. The current method has ok results but I’m still not super satisfied with them so I do plan on practicing a bit more this way I can do a better job at it in the future. Another thing I learned was time. I draw for about an hour every day, some days it can go up to 4 or maybe even 5 on a special occasion when I have nothing else planned but normally it's closer to an hour. But one thing I learned while making this comic was I just don’t have the time with this planned single hour a day to make the art of the quality I want in a single week. So going forward I’m planning on dedicating more time a day to art and to each of my pages for future comics but I’m also planning on being less strict with a schedule. Basically if I think a page needs a week and a half then I’ll give it a week and a half and post about the delay on twitter(it’s what that sites made for after all).

With this comic I was pleased with the results of most of the pages I produced. I won't lie and say they’re great or even good but I did manage to at least keep the quality of each page roughly consistent. There were some pages like page 11 and some of the faces in the early pages that I really wasn’t happy with. But for the most part I like the rest of the comic.

For the future my plans are fairly simple and straight forward. This week and next week I’m gonna take time off from comics to work on a mix of art study and more casual non comic drawings. I’d like to get a fan art of Tala from Fluff-kevlar’s “Predators of the Denali” comic drawn this week and another fanart from a different series out next week. After that though I have a brief 4 page comic planned featuring 2 new OC’s which will be fun and then another week of casual art followed by another longer comic this time with some more personal and serious themes instead of just casual fucking(don’t worry there will be sex ;) )

Anyhow I meant to say a lot more than what I did here but I think for now I’ll leave it at that. Thank you all again for reading.
