Fooled death, only to get fooled in turn. Doomed to wander endlessly, blinded by a futile hope for redemption, only to be met with nothing but turmoil. Death, ever patient, simply waits for that flickering flame of hope to fade.

A monochromatic sketch I wish I had put color on when I started to work on. 
Don't think too hard on it; I'm only revisiting an old idea.
