Dangers of Palpagos - Dogen

After swallowing down a big, gut-stretching meal, Dogen meditates, reflecting on his bout of gluttony. Realizing his hunger is a great pitfall and one of his worst vices, he remains in his meditative state for an entire day, focusing on the churning of his guts as his oversized meal is processed. A heavy weight hangs off of him the next morning, and although he enjoys its plushness, he sees this as a burden that he must carry around to remind him not to succumb to his intense hunger and eat wantonly.
