MemberSo, is "Warm" like a generator? The more loved she feels, the more body heat she generates?

MemberI know it's going to sound silly but there is some symbolism in this story, and regarding Mary Sue's case, the idea of cold correlates to isolation, fear, and trauma. Hiding in a cold, dark basement, warping and twisting, her curiosity and need for closeness with others leading her to become hidden behind walls, closer yet still cut off like a voyeur until she's become more of the house than how she started. Empty like a house, haunted like a house. Cold like a house.
Her "heart" is in the basement where it's hidden and safe but she's still left cold. The thing is, both her and Luke are cold in different ways, and both see themselves as either monsters or deserving to be alone and cut off from anyone else lest they further harm or be harmed. They both hide, and in Luke's case, he runs from the cold in him and pretends when in reality he's hurting.
Even out in the open, most if not all of her is hidden, and it's through sharing that trauma, being recognized, accepted, and held that makes her like any of us out in the open, alive, or warm, again.

MemberSame I would like to see the continuation of this with the two blossoming socially with one or two little nibblings running around while the house looks brighter and happier while they cultivate their wholesome relationship and the future problems of that come with a growing family.
