Some explanation?
A human SOUL can become monstrous if it is afflicted with enough evil. In a sense, the human reaches a point where they are no longer human, and their SOUL twists into something that isn't human nor monster, instead something all on its own. This universe may also follow slightly different rules, as human SOULs not adding to one's LV wouldn't make any sense.
"LOVE to, is an acronym. It stands for Level of Violence, a way to measure one's capacity to hurt." Outright stabbing someone in the stomach would not only kill them, if they don't get help, but would be extremely painful for the victim. In fact, due to how resilient humans are, compared to monsters, it's arguable that you would gain more EXP and LV from killing a human, compared to killing a monster.
