Legendaries - Tigress

While choosing subjects for the Legendaries collection, I wanted to represent mythic beasts that we don't see often. While researching, I found mention of an East Indian village protector spirit that was embodied by a tigress. How perfect, especially as the clothing and colour of that culture are so rich. I really put in the time and attention to tho embroidery and cloth in this one. And the time was well spent to my mind. 8.5z14 acrylic and coloured pencil on illustration board.
