And - if you were born as a man - and you happen to be straight, but somewhen in your life you say "I am not a man, I identify as female", what would you be then? Especially if you did not have your surgery yet? Would you still be straight? Because... your body says yes, since you are a man. But your emotions and mental state say no, because you feel like you would be a female? This stuff is so confusing to me.

All of this can indeed be very confusing. You can for example, be gender fluid and sometimes be a man but other times be a lesbian woman. Or you can simply be a woman that uses he/him as pronouns. Which is totally possible since pronouns don't determine gender.

For you second answer then that person would be a lesbian woman. Regardless of her body, face or lack or surgery she'll always be a woman (if she turns out to be sure of that). Thing is, your sex doesn't determine your sexuality, your gender does.

That is unfortunately kind of a common thing to think in places like these, where people give too much importance to the body parts someone has. Imagine a trans woman who hasn't transitioned (still has a "male" body) is having sex with a cis (not trans) woman. That would be lesbian sex.

What I'm trying to say is that you should just listen to people, how they feel and who they identify as. And you stop focusing on how their body looks like and then everything becomes less confusing.
