He's Out There
He's still out there.
The idea lies in the back of the mind, like a shadow in the corner of the room. Like a low, guttural growl that you don't hear until you lie in bed to go to sleep, and then it's all that fills your mind, as if it was right down your ear...
Claws dig into blankets when they hear that growl.
For some, it's fear.
For others, it's anger.
And for a certain few... it's something a little stronger.
He's still out there...

This was a prize for the wonderful Amarok from the recent second Café Plaisir writing competition! Amarok was the top 'Community Contributor' for their frequent commenting and critiquing of the entries, showing a wonderful level of community spirit. The actual prize was just to be a sketch, but he paid to up it to something of this quality - and I'm very glad he did, since this was a wonderful piece to work on <3
Ah, Eclipse. A lot of fun to draw, to write about, and much more besides - and the first time I've drawn him since his, ah, little run-in at the end of October's Jaunt! Loved being able to get back to him. I hope for more in future~
