Breaking the Taboo
It is said that the Werewolf and the Wisper were always in constant conflict. The Wispers, an exotic hybrid of the Fox and Bear, often viewed the Werewolf as brutish, barbaric and careless to the earth they walked on. The Werewolves often antagonized Wispers for being lower on the food chain and having no backbone to survive. Wispers were magically in-tuned and relied on the forest's power to be safe from the harsh elements. The Werewolf relied on raw power and instincts to survive. The hostility between the two races has lasted for centuries.
The Wisper Cheiftain's daughter, Zerah, A kind and very empathetic one who loves the forest she was born. She strives for the fertile land around her to thrive and grow. As her place of authority, she does what she can to help her fellow Wispers.
The Werewolf, Sid, a product of one forced into Werewolf-hood, and was abused by the wolf who turned him and abandoned him. He was taken in by Markus, the pack Alpha. A shy one, who views himself as ugly with his scars, he'd never dream to be touched by anyone.
It was not known whether fate or destiny determined these two to cross paths. Zerah seemingly was able to sense Sid's dread, she could feel the darkness of every scar that draped his body. It was cruel for Fate to give Sid such an unfortunate event in his life. The only thing she wanted to do was nurture the wounded wolf. It made her realize, the Werewolf, her tribe talked on about as an evil menace....was just like an animal like herself and the life around her. Sid, at first, winced away from her hands, reacting like any abused animal would. However, he could feel the warmth she emitted, and slowly accepted her comfort. He could not describe it, the feeling of her hands on his cheeks, he never felt such warmth. The scarred wolf slowly grew closer to the White Wisper. It was then, the impossible was about to become the possible.
A lovely way to introduce my Scarred, Sad and Lonely Puppy of Markus's pack
