Description

Page fucking 30 wha-why, it’s my shit writing; this should have ended on page 25...lol it really could have.

Much like this month, next month’s pages will be posted in the last week of the month, May 29th if I’m lucky; or maybe I’ll just skip next month entirely.

I don't have any roughs for the next couple pages, hard to fit it in when I need to make money.

Man, the artist's attitude is really poor. First she complains about people complaining, rightfully, about the pacing. Then she mocks them.

AND she rushed the saucier parts of the comic? For shame.

It's cause the people complaining are fucking assholes. People want to think that when an artist is working, nothing else must ever come into play...like personal life or anything. They just see nice work they like and demand it be done when they say it is.

People need to just stfu and let the artist work, and stop complaining to begin with. The artist could just say "Fuck it-" entirely and stop working on the comic all together as well as demand that their work is removed from the site so no one can enjoy it.

To the artist, I say, keep up the good work and don't listen to the impatient asshats. Work your own pace and not theirs so you can make quality art you can be proud of.

While I agree people should be nicer, this comic and it's prequel is what got the artist attention as well. Many had not heard of them before then

doesn't really matter if this comic is what got the artist attention before. Just because something brings popularity doesn't mean the fanbase can demand what they want when they want. Nothing works that way.

  • I like the comic and understand the situation but it feels like its getting stretched out to be honest. But that's the artist decision so its cool. Lol comic might be done at the end of the year xP

  • claralain if you notice this post, I think you're doing good work. take your time and focus on quality. the ones who actually enjoy your work will be patient. the vocal minority tends to the most negative, but the silent ones love what you do.

    Keep it up :P

It's very obvious you just want to get your point across. You've literally complained about the same damn thing on 3 posts in this comic. Just stop complaining about it. You're part of the reason the artist is getting upset.

    Read my first sentence again

Your first post doesn't make any sense. You start off by agreeing that people should be nicer to the artist but then drop a bit of information that has nothing to do with what is being said. The comments you are replying to are talking about the artist getting mad at commenters for being asshats and then commenters being even bigger asshats because of it.

And you reply with "this comic and it's prequel is what got the artist attention as well. Many had not heard of them before then" That has nothing to do with what is being talked about.

With that being said, you make it sound like you are saying "While I agree with you that commenters should be nicer to the artist, but if the artist hadn't made this comic and the one before, no one would know about their work."

Which...when worded like that, doesn't make any sense. It's like you are saying "While commenters should be nicer, the artist shouldn't get mad at them for being complete pricks to their work because if they hadn't made the work people are complaining over, no one would know of them." Which again...saying like that makes no sense.

That's like saying "While criminals should not break the law, cops can't get mad at them for when they do because it is criminals breaking the law that keeps cops employed."

Oh no, asking people to have some level of tough skin, especially when most comments are praise. Pretending the vocal minority is everyone is dangerous

Good, then. It's ridiculous to think that someone would block and remove everyone's comments on their page just because they're giving criticism about such a small thing. Leaving only a hugbox to delude an artist and tell them everything they're doing is equally ridiculous. If she wakes up and starts listening to the people who aren't constantly fellating her e-peen, that'll be a good day.

  • Personally I am pleased with the pacing and the rate of which the pages come out. Even when the artist states when the next pages come out, I still check... I know its a cub comic but its very well done imo.

For the (X) time now. This "Criticism" in question is about taking 2 weeks to a month to upload a page. Even you have said nothing else wrong eith the comic besides that the artist is taking too long to upload the next page. Of course she is not going to take criticism like that because A) Its not constructive
    B) She has blatently said to us that this is a side project where she makes no money off of. So of course she is going to do her commissions first so you know, she can keep a roof over her head.
    C) What you conplain about is not even criticism. Its just straight up complaining and nearly everyone on these comment sections has put you down. Are you going to continue this facade of thinking you are in the right?
What was that expression? "Beggers can't be choosers?"
If you dont like her work and cant appreciate she is working for free for her fans, then please leave already.
You are also now just straight up insulting the artist. So fur real, leave already since you clearly dont care for the art pieces or the artist. The Furry community hates negativity like that.

No, you don't understand what "pacing" means, then. I don't care how long she takes to upload a page; I just want the page to be worthwhile to view. Taking three different panels to show one character's changing expression, all of which take up a good amount of the page, is not good comic design. All I want is to say my piece on how something people paid for is being handled.

And to recognise your other point, I really couldn't care less about the crowd mentality of people in an artist's hugbox. Everyone in the comment section puts me down because they "love" the artist and thinks she can do no wrong, so I can't really say anything here that isn't gushing about the artist's amateur skill.

Hey bud, I get what you mean by pacing, but the thing is she is not an writer, nor a professional artist. She is not desiring to become one. (Talking out of my ass here but still. Its not like she has professional deals or anything, her work comes straight from her fanbase.) Sure wrong pacing might be an issue for you, but for others, not so much. A big reason why people aren't leaving you alone is because you and some others are upsetting the artist and threatening what they want to see. If you aren't going to actually talk, help, and communicate with the artist then why bother so hard to try and point out things? Once again if you really dont like it, then you are more then welcome to leave.

Hell, I remember way back when there used to be a Kung Fu Panda fan comic called "Better Late then Never" and if you want to talk about bad pacing then you should have read through that one when it was being made. A page was uploaded every Friday but it took MONTHS for the plot to progress anywhere.

Im not a huge fan of the artist here, I like the premise of this little comic and therefore I follow it. I give the artist respect because drawing art is something I can not do. I am an author so I know hoe to move plots and charecter development along, but still. Again, its not like the artist is devoting 100% thought into the work here, she does that with her commisions so she can make money. What we get is what we get.

I just want to insert my two cents her to point out: At least the title made perfect sense looking back at it. it really finished late...but it was definitely better than not getting it considering if I remember it was ALMOST canceled due to FA's complaining fanbase.

We seem to be approaching a similar problem here.

Yeah I am agreeing with furryloves here. The only thing you have complained about FluffyFox is how often she uploads the comic. We have no say in the matter when she uploads the next images. Also when you said ",It's ridiculous to think that someone would block and remove everyone's comments on their page just because they're giving criticism about such a small thing," I honestly laughed. It is up to the author of the post to decide what comments he/she wants on the post. The reason why is the same reason of what you are complaining about and that is the time between uploads. When she gets on and sees nothing but: "Oh when is the next upload?" or "This comic sucks because it doesn't upload fast enough," she has every right to remove those comments because it is just complaining not criticism and she has no obligation to this comic what so ever. It is something she is doing for free in her spare time, apart from her commissions so she can live. So before you cry about pacing and time between upload again look at the reason of why it is the way it is before blasting the comment section with your slander. I have been a fan of her work for a while and I say let her take this long to upload it. Us dedicated fans will be waiting patiently unlike you.

  • There is drama here, im just gonna say 3 times people mistook minority for majority and a few of the firestarters actually got confused by them. The people being vocal is a minority but its still "vocal majority"

  • I feel like you've lost your life if your ranting about indie creators of any sort, if your contructive go for it, stop when your told to cause your better arguing about things directly affecting your real life. At a certain point people stop caring for the verbal abuse and this artist hit that point and reacted better then i would.

If you waste time arguing on indie forums like this have fun living as ghosts

I agree with flamerod here. True fans wont lobby the artist about when their next upload will be, and will wait patiently and love any new content that the artist uploads. I love Clara's content, and im perfectly happy to wait a few months between posts.

You came in after a much longer but similarly made commentary on the same thing. collateral damage is probably the best way to describe that.

  • Hopefully the next page will come out sooner rather than later but take your time as I understand this is not a source of income for you.

P.S. I updated the description to emulate the author's description over on inkbunny.

What a waste of my time. To be honest, the way the artist is dealing with the situation is childish and irresponsible. If they just ignored all the idiots then none of the community who are happy to wait would have to suffer extended wait.

That logic is stupid. Regardless of the artist's thoughts on the nagging people, Im sure their work stays at the same speed, knowing that the comic is popular and receiving likes. Ignoring those people wont reward the patient people any. She can act however she wants as long as the comic isnt dropped entirely. That would be lame.

  • Hey everybody could we stop the flamewar about the artist please? I actually like this artist and would like them to continue the comic, but this sort of flamewar is going to make it get cancelled.

    Cookie anyone?
