    Armor Thong?!
    How does that work?!

Clips together? Maybe it's made of a fabricated alloy, who knows. I tend not to read too much into art.

It's composed of multiple pieces that clip together and have articulated joints to alow better mobility.

If you've read Iron Man or The Amazing Spider-Man in the past year or two.
They've both developed their own armors. Spider-Man's armor still looking very "flexible" like a skin tight suit, but still "armored" and "reinforced" for protection.
As for Iron Man, he's developed "liquid metal armor" technology based on Symbiotes. And his latest armor uses "Shifting Interchangeable Shells", allowing his armor to change and transform like lego blocks.

So don't ask questions on how an armor thong works.

Because I'm me, I over analyze everything and, I have come up with a logical explanation to everything about her. First, her armor is retractable and flexible, meaning in the first pic of her to this one, no armor was actually taken off, just retracted to show off. Second, the thong is kinda difficult to explain, but I believe that it works similar to how iron man's armor, any of the mk. 20 and beyond to be exact.
