Ahhhh...Always refreshing to have my eyes bleached in the middle of a good animation to destroy the immersion. But seriously though, it's a shame that such great animations have to come from such a bad animator. Such hard Patreon pushes are really making me view the guy/gal as so much worse than the rest.

Someone finally made longer video about man X quite anatomically correct mare and the animation is quite fluent. We have a new Cavafly.

Animation : 6
Sound : 3
Anatomy : 7

Animation consists of decent movement although it appears short and its easy to spot the loop. Sound basically ruins it since its beyond repetitive and simple. Anatomy on the horse is quite good, human being a "I guess its good even if slightly enlarged for the lady"

You can't be mad at an artist for advertising a patreon. granted they could of placed it better, whether it be at start or finish of the animation but it was a sample animation taken from the website. all of his works are highly appreciated by the e621 community. Save to say that they have the right to self advertise.

How can people like you be so entitled? This guy is making animations FULL TIME. He releases 4/5 of the content which pays his rent FOR FREE only to have people like you try to paint him as amoral for not giving ENOUGH. You should be happy that there are even people who MAKE this content for your obscure fetish much less give the majority of it away for free.

Thats not really the point of everyones distaste with it. Sticking it in the middle of the animation breaks the immersion which kills the mood. He'd get much less flak about this if he placed the patreon ad AFTER the animation was complete, or BEFORE the animation begins. It's not about not wanting to spend the money as much as having an ad shoved in your face while you're trying to watch events unfold. It's in bad taste and shows you're in it for the money and arent concerned with your clients' / viewers overall experience, which is also what sells, at least in america... You hate popups right? its basically a pop up add while you're in the middle of a video. Its, again, in bad taste and immersion killing.

If you want people to support you on patreon, a little logo and url in the corner throughout the animation is fine. Could also put it up at the end too, it'll still get seen, but won't be in the way.
Throwing it up in front of the whole animation right in the middle is extremely obtrusive and counter intuitive, as it will put off a lot of potential supporters and people who might otherwise want to download the animation.

May have even be better off fading to black after the 50 second mark and ending the animation there, and leaving the part after it as part of the patreon bonus. A little backwards, sure, as you're technically taking more away, but it feels less intrusive and less like a middle finger.

the standard method of just having a pateron watermark in the corner seems to be working for everyone else

There are clearly people who know better and voice their opinions as to why this advertising style is in poor taste. But it's such a shame that we, as consumers of this Animator's product are so consistently Ignored. This is made very clear from the continuation of the Patreon pushes in the middle of every video up to date. Unfortunately this is just one of life's many very interesting hypocrisies...a terrible animator who doesn't care and some very flawless animations. Makes ya wonder, which is better?

Yeah. My biggest problem with this animators work isn't that he advertises his patreon. He's fully within his right to do that. My problem is with the way he goes about it.

Put it at the start, or the end, don't just stick it in the middle. Points for using it creatively to censor a scene, but is editing the scene out and sticking the ad at the start or end of the video all that difficult?

Good, his Patreon pushes in the middle of videos was an extremely questionable business decision and as much as I valued having BASE ACIDS dumped in my eyes every Critterclaw animation. Maybe now they'll stop being a Bad animator with Good animations flip themselves to being Acceptable at best
