First Flight

This year I'll be doing my own short film as sort of a thesis for my college degree in animation. I've been fiddling around and doodling a bluejay gryph as that's what I'd like to animate. It'll just be a little thing about him learning to fly, choreographed to music. I wanted to do a painting to maybe capture some of the colours I hope to bring out in the final part of the film.

I tried a totally different approach to painting that's (probably pretty obviously) inspired by centradragon Her work is so inspiring and I really want to capture colours with the same cohesion and vibrancy that she does... though the gryphon ain't gonna be fully shaded in every frame like that obviously 8\
