Theta speaks with pictures correct? If so then does he only return conversions with pictures or can he understand the language he hears without speaking it? (Gives Theta a picture of a butterfly)

“Theta can understand some of the basics of faraden after having heard it for a few years, but because the language is so different from what he remembers as a child he has difficulty trying to speak it, so he just doesn’t really talk. Some people in your world describe similar feelings when trying to learn a new language, where reading, writing, and listening are all much easier than speaking.

That said, he does like images since he has an easier time going by sight and imagery when dealing with real objects. He does also use gestures and similarities to better ‘describe’ what’s intended, though you get used to it after a while.
