My dude, I don't make the rules. What the artist says on the character's gender doesn't apply to the tag what you see rule, which makes perfectly sense when you think about it, since E621 is a visuals-based site.

Yes, it applies and overrides the "what you see '''rule'''". The artist is the original creator and what they say is absolute, if they demanded this upload to be removed, nothing could be done but obey. Back to the topic, just because >you< see a girl, does not means >everyone< sees a girl, that's the thing of girly boys, being visually ambiguous. But keeping a few safe pictures as "female" and then all others with his genitals showing as "male" is completely misleading and also breaks the rule's puporse, as people will see him as male after knowing the truth and they should tag what they see.

It's as you said, what the artist says is absolute. Meaning, if the artist had a problem with how it was tagged, they could easily just say so. No one is denying them of their rights as the artist. The problem just hasn't been addressed by the actual artist it seems. As far as I can see with this chat section, you're the only one that's complaining about it. I understand why, but no one is going to actually listen to you if you're going to complain in such a trivial way.

At least we got the lore tags now, which rectify this somewhat.
