If you like this, be sure to show MarsMiner some love. He's a marvelous guy and without him this edit wouldn't exist. Afterall, HE made the "Your Character Here" image that I used for this.
Thanks.
Dedicated to one great guy, and one of my favorite artists in the world by far, MarsMiner. Love you buddy, and so here's to yet another year of you being totally awesome!
Artist Notes (KC):
I really, REALLY tried to do my signature art style emulation to portray my own character the way that MarsMiner would, and I really hope I didn't screw it up. The dark, heavily-saturated color palette my character has makes it extremely difficult to depict them properly in Mars's particular art style, and since MarsMiner has never used my character in any of his art before, I did not have anything to use as a reference to emulate the way he would have done it himself, so I apologize ahead of time for possibly making such a mockery of it. Sorry.
Also, things have been very, very sporadic and not to mention difficult/rough for me in my life lately, and as such, I did not have the time (nor the energy, quite frankly) to fully dedicate my talents to this particular piece. As such, some may notice that the ENTIRE Changeling/Unicorn/Lycanthrope element of my character's body is absent from this portrayal of them. Yes, my character does normally have a unicorn horn with a hole missing from the edge of it (as well as some other unique visual traits) as a visual cue to show their partial Changeling/mixed species ethnicity, however, as time and energy escapes me I did not get the chance to portray such traits.
And lastly, I know that the proportions are kind of a bit off for my character's body. I drew them separately, piece-by-piece, from scratch, without ANY reference material, on a 8" screen, mostly on the go, so for what I had to work with I dare say I did a pretty great job... But I suppose that is up to you as the beholder to decide, huh?
So all-in-all, I am SUPER sorry for the blatantly inaccurate portrayal of my own character in this piece, and I truly hope it does not reflect at all negatively on the work of the original artist, my good friend, MarsMiner. But as a homeless man, I have much more important priorities at this time than Art (like finding food and shelter), let alone Perfected art.
I hope you all enjoy this regardless and I wish you all the very best.
