Topic: anyone here still play diablo 2?

Posted under Off Topic

i'm mostly just curious because i recently re-installed my copy of the game (can't use the expansion as the keygen i use to install that doesn't work with multiplayer. >.>) and aside from multiplayer i probably won't do much with it unless i go and setup that medianXL mod again.

so yeah, if anyone is interested i can probably make a new character and get on multiplayer again.

I just built up a level 79 spearzon recently single player D: because my CD keys are long gone :( and was kind of amazed that bnet is still running that (like...including the ladder).

I doubt I'd get a bnet character going again because attention span, but I can't say I haven't thought about it.

I would TOTALLY play the game if I hadn't lost my CD keys... And my install disks. Seriously, I have two Game disks, three Movie disks, but no install disks.

that's disappointing to hear and yeah, i guess it is a bit surprising since not many companies keep the multiplayer running quite so long.

I used to play that game so very much. It doesn't really run on my computer now, too new, but I had some great characters and high level stuff.

I do still have the CDs and keys though.

I still have my original discs and CD keys amazingly. I play Median XL every once in awhile/

I just remembered playing bnet back in...2004? 2005? Botting, procuring various CD keys and passwords from people, and getting non-techy people to run an exe file that dropped all their stuff and quit the game...

Looking back on this...I'm amazed that I never once got banned. :V

Yes, I still feel really bad for doing this stuff

, except botting.

heh, i'm surprised the warden didn't catch you. then again, for as much as i can remember of this game, i've never really seen any activity related to that system before.

same here, that's pretty much why i thought to make this thread. i've done the single player numerous times before and nowadays i either just do median XL or multiplayer...when i even bother with the game.

how new? windows 7? if so then it should still run fine (just remember to run the video tests upon installation so as to avoid graphical issues such as inverted colors).

i'm in love with it.

I regularly find myself coming back to play it every few months.

But I usually roll with median XL as the original game has become a bit too boring.

I'd be glad to play both though, as I'm long overdue on my 'few months' quota.

I do own an original copy but no longer do I have the disc or the cd-key, thus I cannot play on b.net

Though many private servers exist!

If you guys lost your CD keys, seriously, just go buy the expansion pack and you get both cd keys. It's like, $20 for an awesome game.
On that note, I have mine. I just don't have it installed.

well, i finally have diablo 3 working (aside from the occasional battle.net time out, error 3007)
