Aliasing cowgirl → invalid_tag

Reason:

Too ambiguous.
This gets tagged for cowgirl_position, female bovines (including minotaurs), and cowgirl costumes. I've cleaned out the first two monthly, but there's always a lot of new ones..

We don't have a tag for the latter usage (costumes), so I'm thinking that we should create one, move those over and then invalidate this.

Another alternative would be to turn this into an another disambiguation tag; cowgirl_(disambiguation).

+1 bump for either invalid_tag or cowgirl_(disambiguation). I cleaned it out a couple weeks ago and there were a mix of females with cowboy hats, cowgirl_position, cow anthro/humanoids, and Applejack (regardless of wearing a hat). I don't think there's much we can do to clean it up other than that.

+1 for cowgirl_(disambiguation), we don't need to make cleaning up invalid_tag a harder task.

Re-tagging most of these to cowgirl_position is a never-ending task.

On that note, seeing a male/male pic tagged as cowgirl_position always leaves me with a little smile.

A shame that a corrective measure needs to be taken, when there are posts like these ('cowgirls', in the sense of 'female cowboys'):

Well, as of now there are only 8 posts tagged with cowgirl and 6 of those are cowgirl_position, 1 of an anthro cow, and one of a female character with a cowboy hat.

I'm thinking that we only need to have two of these as the anthro one should simply be tagged with female cow anthro anyway.

My vote is to keep the tag for females who are dressed in cowboy attire, seems like something that people will search for if the option is available.

Unfortunately, the amount of people incorrectly using this tag in lieu cowgirl_position has invited this discussion for invalidation or disambiguation; there are only 8 posts with this tag because of a recent huge cleanup.

How does a cowboy_attire tag sound?

This could be applied to any gender, and can also be searched thusly.

It was on my checklist for a year, and there were always a lot of new mistags each time I checked it. I presume it's because users copy tags from other sites, and some of boorus use 'cowgirl' for the position.

Cowboy_outfit should work... or cowboy_costume? I'm still not sure which of those is the standard, the tags are pretty evenly split between *_costume and *_outfit.

Ahh, I know parasprite cleaned this up a while back but I didn't realise the scale of the cleanup.

Well I think that if the most common mistake is using it instead of cowgirl_position then it would make sense to alias it to that and have the disambiguation tag too but I fear that we would just end up with lots of posts mistagged with cowgirl_position as a result.

I don't really like the idea of invalidating it but it may end up being the only option. :(

Yeah, I remember talking about this a while back, I think it was decided that *_outfit would be best because you can use it for both *_outfit and *_costume.

I also made a pretty basic disambiguation page, but there are probably other tags that might be useful here.
