Alright, I'll be as brief as I can.

Some people say they're gay only for furry characters, not human males. I'm one of those people. I've been like this ever since childhood, and, to put it simply, I'm freaking confused. I can easily see myself drooling over some handsome scaly or furry, but, when it comes to humans, only the chicks catch my attention.

Does anyone else here feel like this? It would be nice if someone could explain what the heck this is all about.

hey, i'm the same way. the main reason why, is because many gay artists draw their male characters more feminine. no male has an aversion to penises (otherwise you wouldn't fap.), only to other males. but since the artist makes their males look more female, despite the penis.

What you find attractive in furry males may not exist or only rarely exist in real life males. There may also be a disconnect of personality and appearance.

While I usually call myself a lesbian, I sometimes throw the word "bisexual" out there. I sometimes find myself attracted to the idea of being with a male, but I end up fantasizing about the sort of male that simply doesn't exist in real life.

In real life, males that have a physical appearance that I would be attracted to are extremely rare (for the most part, he would need to look very feminine). In addition, the type of personality required to spark my desire, to the best of my knowledge, non-existent outside of females.

It's fantasy, not reality. And because of that, I am bisexual in name only, because I cannot perceive the existence of a male that exists outside of furry porn, or my own mind, that I would desire to mate with.

I'm about as attracted to furry males as I am furry females. With humans though, I lean towards females. I am attracted to both sexes, but the number of guys that fit my type is much lower with humans than with furries.

I'm also a zoophile (not a practicing one) and with animals I seem to lean towards males, so I suppose it would make sense that furries fall roughly in the middle.

Expanding on what Marbles was saying about personalities, I think that, just like with individuals, each species has its own distinct sort of personality. To me, males in other species seem to be somewhat more attractive than in our own, and the differences in intrinsic personalities unique to each species might be a part of that.

I know, before I found e621, I was pretty much an outcast (to both internet communities and real life), with my thoughts, feelings, and preferences. I did find the "extent of occurrence" section of the wikipedia article for zoophilia to be interesting. It cites several studies (including the Kinsey reports) that puts the numbers for actual sexual contact with an animal (which would exclude either of us) surprisingly high. I'm not sure what to think about that.

In any case, I'm not particularly proud of my attraction to animals and I'm not going to be a zoophilia evangelist. But it is what it is. I just find animals attractive, even beyond sexual acts. I'm aware that most people into furries say they're not zoophiles, so I can only assume most people are in it for the exotic aspect of it. I suppose my attraction to furries is therefore different than most.

I'm the same way, generally. I dont have any real attraction to 'human' males (though if they were anything like poju's art, I'd probably be bisexual >.>), but I'm fine with furry, specifically feline, males.

It's just caused by what you find attractive, and what you dont, and those are properties of your personality that are developed over time and can really never be predicted.
