It would remove the implication antelope -> Bovine
because the antelopes are not Bovine but Bovid.
The family BoviDae includes:
- BoviNae (Bovine: cow buffalo...)
- Caprinae (sheep goat...)
- Antelope

The Antelope tag did not have to be implication with another tag, the same way as bovine.

I'm not sure it's exactly the same meaning, "break one's ass" connotates that you worked hard for nothing. Closest translation would be "to bother".
