The "Atom Feed" is broken, was that on purpose or a bug?

After going through the forum, I see I'm not the first person to question this... Any progress?

I don't even know what an 'Atom Feed' is...

the problem I have is that i can't see the thumbnails.. unless if I visit the page. But on the other hand, if I just use the feed, I would bypass the advertisements that help support the website.

If it was on purpose, It would be fair enough.. if not, what the hold up?

I use the feeds to let me know when my favorite tags have new posts. The thumbnails helped me pick out what I wanted to see quickly. since they took the thumbnails off, I had to open every single image to see if it's something I'd like. many times loading pics that are a waste of my time.
