Topic: tag implication: shark -> fish

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Technically true but E621 isn't an encyclopedia, if someone was (for some reason I cannot understand) really in the mood to see some smexy fishes they'd be expecting to see what we would casually call fish (cod, haddock, salmon, etc etc) and not sharks. Maybe some sort of tag like 'Aquatic' would be more appropriate.

Or a tag like marine? Nah, that tag would never get off the ground...

It's called irony. :|

I don't know anything about that, I don't really like aquatics. But I'd sure there are more than 300 pictures of them on here.

They could just search fish -shark.

Admittedly, I would never have tried marine if looking for that. Marine is army man :P

A more obvious one might be better, I'm sure we have more then 345 pics of underwater things on here.

'Today the U.S. Marine Corps is not a branch of the U.S. Navy - it is a separate service branch within the Department of the Navy, the civilian branch of the Department of Defense tasked with overseeing the Navy and Marine Corps.'

They're part of the Navy no matter how much they whine.

Well, sharks and that are marine animals, so it kind of makes sense.

I agree, it makes sense, it's just not something I would think to search for. My 2 cents anyways *ahrug*

I think you meant, "Marine is military man." ;p

With the US military, it's the Air Force that's derived from the Army. The Marines are derived from the Navy (hence why they're called the Marines). I'd consider it a safe bet that someone from one branch of the military would take exception to being associated with a rival branch (to put it mildly). ;)
