Isn't frilly a style though? I was under the impression that was being used similar to a gender neutral term for "girly".

It probably is,but at the present there's only a handful of posts,so it's hard to say for sure

Upon second look, frill, frilly and frills all seem to refer to the physical feature and the fabric style
