In a fight who do you think would win? Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, or Solid Snake?

I'd have to say Motoko. She has way better tech and reflexes than Snake. Plus, snake smokes.

Interesting points you two have. However, I wasn't clear on what type of fight. You're forgetting they have skills in both close-quarters and firearm combat. So, who would win in a CQC fight, and who would win in a gunfight? Discuss.

Solid Snake does have a lot of experience fighting opponents who are physically superior to him.

But Motoko might be just as smart as Snake.

Fights like these are very circumstantial, yet people always just pose the question as "who would win in a fight: X or Y?" It's either ridiculously slanted in one character's favor, or if they're evenly matched it comes down to which one is your favorite.

I mean, he DID kill Liquid while the guy was on top of a nuclear armed walking battle tank. Or was that Ocelot? Or Ocelot with Liquid's arm? I don't remember, it's all a bunch of convoluted, retarded shit. At the very least, he did kill a giant native American who happened to be carrying a goddamn chain gun.

I'd win, hands down.

Realistically, Snake doesn't stand a chance. Motoko is just plain better than him in most ways (cyborg body, enhanced fighting skills, superior stealth tech, godlike hacking skills), and at least his equal in every other way (experience, intelligence, combat tactics, etc).

It's a stupid question though, since they're both overpowered protagonists in their own setting. If it was a MGS game and the Major was an enemy, Snake would win.

Solid Snake beat that nuclear-powered walking battle tank on foot using only a Stinger. I'm pretty sure he could beat a Cold War-era Soviet submarine captained by Sean Connery. :p
