Tags such as "amazing" and "epic". are these too much? should they be allowed to stay, and abused by whoever feels it necessary?

i suggest that epic is getting aliased to invalid_tag

I don't think we should do away with the 'epic' tag completely, since it has more uses than just the modern slang meaning. Admittedly, we're unlikely to get extended poems here, but why limit artists creativity?

Browsing the 'epic' tag is kind of like browsing the 'what' tag: interesting to see what you find, but not really all that useful.
Maybe if it was reserved for the most loltastic examples of 'epic' only?

This sums up my thoughts on it perfectly, actually.
Epic should be reserved for things that make you, and a significant number of others go "whoa.." not pictures that say "I am an egg"
