I was banned and I didn't get a warning beforehand. I was apparently breaking the, "tag-what-you-see not what you know," rule and I don't recall doing so.

NeverendingTwilight. The last message I got was that I was banned for breaking the rule for labeling a gay character of mine as being gay, since there was no dick being shoved up his ass.

"Gay" as a tag is used to depict actions, not sexuality, on par with our "Tag What You See" cardinal rule that you apparently violated several times.

You were even warned, and had it explained to you simply.
I can't see what the issue here is.

They can't "not get to you".
They were sent.
Or they would not be in the record.

Five day ban? I thought it was permanent. And no, there isn't a problem. I see the notes, now. They were hidden away in my account's notes option.

I wish I noticed those before...

I hope not... I only created this account to explain the misunderstanding... I wasn't trying to ban evade.

And as for the notice saying that I'd be banned for only 5 days, that was something I didn't notice, as well... I need to pay more attention to details like that...

It's certainly possible that they'll be understanding and not extend the ban because of the misunderstanding.

Just wanted to point out that an extension was a possibility.

Didn't get a warning? You were warned twice before the ban.

You thought the right thing to do was create a new account and tell us how you were wrongfully banned instead of waiting out your ban like you should have. I've been banned a few times in the past, and while I didn't like it, I didn't create a new account. Honestly, waiting out your ban is much simpler. Trust me, I know from experience, right guys? :/

He didn't realize what the issue was, cut him some slack. He didn't create an account in revenge of his prior blockage, but to ask a question.

There are some real sanctimonious folks here. Two tag warnings spaced over 8 months = ban? That's harsh, and a good way to kill tagging contributors :(

Violations of the TWYS rule are something staff take very, very seriously. It's like, one of the very few actual set in stone rules the site has.

I reported it as soon as the thread was posted.
Admins decided not to extend the ban.
