Other thoughts? Yes. Pertaining to this? Not really, agreed.

so presenting just means they are standing there? I always use it for someone flashing their hindquarters. if it's being used like this, then it becomes basically useless

I see what you're saying, but it looks like presenting is occasionally applied to similar things. It does seem to be mostly presenting hindquarters though, which does have a specific tag too. I'm really not sure either way, but I don't think showing_off is worth anything.

I'd say that showing_off is closer to pose than presenting, though many of those should be tagged with both.

im leaning toward this. showing off certainly needs to be nuked, but it seems to be rarely used the same way as presenting. before we put through any aliases we need to establish guidelines on what presenting really means as a tag.

The wiki entry for presenting is somewhat lacking, but I think presenting_hindquarters explains it well: that tag group should only be used if the character is intentionally presenting some sexual part of their anatomy.

'least, that's how I see it. It shouldn't be tagged if the character is simply posing, or happens to have their back turned, that'd make it too vague to be useful.

This is what I understood it to be used for.

it's the difference between 'look at me' and 'mate with me'. Presenting is getting into an animalistic mating pose.
