Aliasing land_shark → garchomp
Link to alias
Reason:
Every picture tagged with land_shark only has garchomp in it to justify the tag's use. We don't need 2 different tags for the same species.

Seems like this is an incorrect alias. Land shark doesn't 'mean' Garchomp. We should either fix the tag so it's on all the pictures of land-walking sharks or we should get rid of the tag altogether.

Don't you find it a tad strange that the tag hasn't been used on any non-Garchomp images up till now for all the years that Garchomp has existed? Such makes me feel quite confident that the land_shark tag will never be applied to anything else. It's simply a case of some idiot taking the PokéDex too seriously, thinking a land shark is a legitimate species when it's not. They probably think an EleSpider is a real species as well.
I'm fine with aliasing land_shark to invalid_tag as well, but I'm just saying...

A Land shark is:
Land Shark Lager (a beer brand)
a term for german shepard (dog)
A term for a Porsche 928
a real estate broper/speculant (most common)
the nickname for the Sun Life Stadium/Miami
The name of one of the mascts of the Ole Miss Rebels, the sports teams of the University of Missisippi
The name of a Transformer
An alternative name for a Bulette - a D&D Monster
HOW do you come to the idea it is even remotely something related to pokemon? Just remove it where it is not right (like all that have the tag atm!) but there are valid uses. See above.
EDIT:
actually, I would prefer it, if the term landshark would be used like the d&D definition:
heavily-scaled carnivorous monster; a huge ravenous creature that burrows through the earth and attacks unsuspecting victims from below. Originally inspired by a cheap plastic toy, the bulette was one of the first monsters specifically created for D&D, and has been included in every edition of D&D, although various aspects of the monster have changed from edition to edition.

I'd tag Street Sharks pictures with it...

It looks like it's basically one user adding it to garchomp images with only a couple exceptions. Why don't we just alias it to invalid_tag. Even if someone posts one from D&D, we can just put land_shark_(d&d) or something. How did this even start? Did they call it that in the show or something?

I think maybe it's the Land Shark Pokemon? Like, that's its pokedex entry.

Ya land shark should not apply. Unless we want to start attaching electric_mouse to pikachu and derpy_dragon to dragonite :P

Hmm, I wasn't aware it was a D&D thing as well. even though it hasn't been used that way, there's a chance it might be used that way in the future. So I guess land_shark is too vague.
Alright then, +1 for aliasing land_shark -> invalid_tag. as Ippiki said, if the D&D monster ever comes up, we can just use something like "land_shark_(d&d)" or a similar term.

Agreed. Too many Pokemon already get tagged based on their pokedex entries or types. Instead of what they actually look like. Not a trend that should be encouraged.
As for the D&D monster, that'd be tagged under Bulette. I see no reason to use its alternative name.
