Topic: Accidentally uploaded wrong file

Posted under General

I commissioned an artist and I got permission to upload the work here. After uploading the work, I realized that the file the artist emailed me was missing a minor detail of the character.
The correct images are practically the same, the only difference is one of the characters has some scars on his leg.

Is there a way I can replace the images without going through the whole process again, and keep the tags, description, etc.?
I just want to know before I go through all those steps.

Ask an Admin if you can have the Replacements privilege, and then you can simply upload the corrected version as a pending replacement for the current one. Remember to put in a reason why the replacement for the approving staffmember.

If you don't mind the upload getting attributed to someone else (i.e., it will appear as if somebody else posted it instead), you can also simply send the image to a janitor and ask them to replace the post for you.
That way you don't have to go through all the hassle of asking the admins for additional privileges.
