Topic: It’s No Nut November. Let’s talk about our favorite kinds of nuts!

Posted under Off Topic

Coconut... yes, I'm calling it a nut in this context. I love its distinct flavor and scent.

It's basic, but I fucking love peanuts. They're just so damn good, roasted and salted, and peanut butter (not the sugar-added stuff) is great.

almonds are pretty good. I like dark-chocolate covered almonds sometimes.

Walnuts are great and have a wonderful texture. They go great with dried fruit.

Brazil nuts are cool, but I haven't had them in a long time.

The only nuts I like that much are pecans, but holy fuck I love pecans
Plain pecans, chocolate covered pecans, cinnamon covered pecans, honey roasted pecans, praline pecans, pecan brittle, you name it

Goddamn do I love Pecans. They are the only food that I can't help myself over. I just eat and eat till I am painfully full.

Lowe's Foods store brand Garlic Cashews, Rufus Teague BBQ'D some nuts brand peanuts, and salt and pepper pistachios are all amazing.

Of course

Pecans are the best, especially warm pecan pie with butter on top.

I only recently found out I'm allergic to cashews, after eating cashewmilk ice cream. So they are my 'no nut'.

Hard to choose between pistachios and hazelnuts. I think pistachios are my favorite to eat on their own, and hazelnuts are my favorite as an ingredient in a larger dish

Hmm..
Honestly, I know this is gonna sound kinda ironic with me saying it – Y'know, bird and such – but I much prefer seeds over nuts.

However, I do love the versatility of peanuts, and how tasty they can be in many different styles.

pistachios roasted in their shell are fun i think, i get snacks and enrichment :3

Pistachios are by far my favorite. They're great to eat when you're bored. Personally, I like to suck the salt off of the shell before opening it up with my teeth.

Mixed nuts with peanuts, peas, cashews, and kidney beans. Added with corn and raisins for a great trail mix.

Also pistachios on ice cream. Dubai chocolate is overrated.

I may png myself with this, but anyone else a fellow whole peanut enjoyer? nut and shell in all

My favorite are cashews

I would be perplexed by you saying that but I’ve eaten shrimp with the shell on before (not with the head and tail)

I like cashews. I love the smoothness and sweet taste. I’d eat them more if they weren’t so bloody expensive.

Are those things tasty? I've never tried them, but I've seen them in supermarkets.

Yes! They're expensive perhaps because each cashew is attached to its own cashew apple, but we don't sell/eat the apple-looking part in the West since they bruise easily... Anyways, yes, cashews are yummy, try them! Once No Nut November is over.

Very tasty. Usually I like my nuts to be salty, but they are smooth and softer than a peanut and slightly sweet in taste. But they are worth it.

"but they are smooth and softer than a peanut and slightly sweet in taste". Damn, bro, that sounds pretty good.

Yeah fella i gonna try that shit when No Nuts November was over ;)

Cashews and macadamia nuts were my favorite. But since July, I decided to eliminate them from my diet. So I guess I'm doing a literal "no nut november" too.
