Topic: A gaping hole in the wiki entries (Or, "What to do about the inconsistencies in the various gaping-related wiki entries.")

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

The wiki entry for the "gaping" tag says that it's only supposed to be used when an orifice is hanging wide open without anything inserted to keep it open, or fingers in place to hold it open. Most of the "gaping [insert orifice]" tags confirm this. But two of the example images in the "gaping" tag's own wiki entry, show somebody spreading the orifice in question with their fingers; the "gaping anus" wiki entry actively contradicts the statement that spreading with fingers doesn't count; and some of the other "gaping [orifice]" wiki entries don't even bother to weigh in on the matter.

I'd just edit all the wiki entries for consistency, but I've heard people have gotten in trouble for putting in info that just doesn't line up with site policy, so I'd prefer to avoid risking that. So, this is basically just a thread to ask, what would be the proper way to handle this small mess? Like, can I get confirmation that gaping is, in fact, not meant to apply to things being spread with fingers?

Firstly, you can link a wiki page w/ [[tag]] (e.g. gaping, gaping_anus); saves me a bit of trouble when investigating.

We rarely ever ding people for one-off well-intentioned mistakes, & you should be able to alleviate the concern by providing an edit reason so we can understand your mindset.

In this case, since 1 of the example images isn't tagged with gaping at all, you're clear to remove that.

As for gaping_anus, I would largely leave that, as it isn't directly gaping the orifice (which is more what the gaping wiki meant). It would be useful to update the relevant spreading_* & gaping_* wikis to clarify, but spread_butt(/spreading_cheeks) doesn't mean spread_anus, so I wouldn't call them mutually exclusive. Kinda a gray area, but that's why it's a good thing to check.
