Felt like doing this because I noticed this theme comes up fairly often.
I thought about aliasing icing and related tags to frosting equivalents but decided to hold off on that. Wikipedia and some online dictionaries state that they are synonyms but I found a lot of food blogs which insist they are different. The common idea among them seems to be that frosting is thick and fluffy, and is used to coat the layers of a cake, while icing is thinner and more fluid, and is used for decorational details. On this site they seem to be used mostly synonymously, but "frosting" is the more popular phrasing. By my guess the icing tag is currently like 85% the dictionary definition and 15% the food blog definition. Icing-related tags can be handled in another BUR if it's deemed necessary.
