Topic: Blacklist not working?

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I keep trying to edit in tags to my blacklist, but something must not be catching, since I still see certain tags in searches. Is there any way to clear this up?

Might not be a bug, you know? :P

What tags are you trying to put in and what's the formatting, Fluffy? I'll see if I can repro if it looks right, or direct you to how to write it right if it's not formatted correctly.

Even if it's not, it's where t should be posted (afaik)

It's just a question, not a bug report. Now, if it turns out to be a bug, it should be posted there, but this was a good choice to post outside it originally. :)

There's questions there too, and the title made it seem like a bug (IMO), anyway I'll stop replying here to avoid derailing anything.

@FluffyFox:
By any chance, are you putting all of the tags on one single line?

If you do, then that might be the problem. The blacklist works pretty much like searching, think of it as seaching stuff you don't want to see. Different searches on different lines

Yeah, your blacklist is faulty, all tags on one line are a single search executed.

This means, if you put "female male" on one line it will only hide posts tagged with both female and male.
If you put female one line and male on another there will be all posts hidden that contain the tag female and all posts that contain the tag male.

If you need more help, post here again, I could also build you your blacklist if you throw me a mail about what exactly you wish to blacklist and how.
