I hope this hasn't already been posted, but Gov. Katie Hobbs has very recently signed HB2112 which requires adult website to ID visitors in order to access the site, effectively banning porn in the state. Not only is this an inconvenience and cybersecurity nightmare, but its arguable unconstitutional. I'm curious as to how e621 will fare with this new legislation since its based out of Arizona. I hope the site is able to find some way around this, or better yet more to a state that supports the freedom of speech.
I'm personally livid at Katie Hobbs, especially since I voted for her before I left the state (which I'm even more glad I did now).
Reportedly, the bill should go into effect on the 26th of September, which is this Friday as of writing.
