Topic: kovensden art was AI??

I was trying to update/add to some of the art by Kovensden that was on here, but then it was all removed for being AI assisted. I was just wondering if that was true, because the artist's page does not mention the use of AI anywhere.

Kovensden has been on our radar since December 23rd 2024 as somebody tracing generative imagery. At the time, policy was different and we weren't yet excluding traced generative images from archival. That has since changed. Every artist like this has the exact same approach to eyes, coloring, and poses, the same metadata-related tells, things like that, all because they're starting with the same materials and using the same techniques.

You will need to ask the janitor who deleted all of them, @Manitka, for their justification.

As far as I know, if there is reasonable suspicion that an artist is using AI to generate their works (including full paintovers), their works get deleted entirely until there is proof that they are drawn manually from scratch, such as with recordings of the work process.

Thanks for letting me know. I hate it when these artists use AI and then pretend they don’t, especially because I really liked Kovensden’s art. It was kinda funny though to watch the posts disappear one by one; I thought I was losing my mind lol
