Topic: Automated suggestion feature for commonly misused tags?

During my attempts to clean up the badly mistagged shirtless tag, I've noticed that almost all of the mistags seem to be from users who genuinely aren't aware the topless tag even exists, or who seem to think it's synonymous. I've politely informed these users of its existence in the hopes they'll avoid the problem in the future, but that's a reactive solution that still hasn't stemmed the tide of mistags. I wonder if we could solve this problem with an automated suggestion feature like, "You are tagging X. Do you mean Y?" (With an option to toggle it off in user settings, of course.) It seems to me like the only feasible way to reduce mistags among users who don't read the wiki.

I've been brainstorming an automated tag validation system for stuff like this (mainly for tagging more genders than allow when solo, duo, etc. is tagged); short answer is if ever, it's not happening for a while.
