Topic: Can't tell if this is a trace

Posted under Art Talk

I have a feeling post #5730781 is a partial trace of post #3363929 (deleted, still available at the source here). The Loona part looks totally original, but the urinals look too close to be a reference IMO.

Here's one, two screenshots of the two images overlayed. Does this look like a trace to anybody else?

Also, if this isn't a trace, is there generally some way to tag one image as referencing another?

I can understand heavily referenced art, but the urinal is definitely traced. The bottom lines up way too well, and the little "bolt" also lines up. (See https://i.ibb.co/x8Jmdv8b/image.png)
The other urinals seem to have been spaced out further, but if moved back into place, and they also line up. The character it's self however doesn't line up, and seems original.

I'd say flag it as trace and link this thread as reference in the comments for the jannies.

I wouldn't be one hundred percent surprised if they were both using the same stock image for the background, but a quick peruse of google doesn't seem to turn up a photo with both the right angle, and urinal shape.

I considered this, but I can't find any stock images that immediately show up, and if it is difficult for us to find, the chances of them choosing the same stock image is slim.

Agreed. If it were like, in the first couple of results, that'd make a lot of sense. But it would seem to be beyond unlikely that two people separately picked the same theoretical stock image that's somewhere deep in the search results to reference.
