A lot of people seem comfortable making separate threads whining and complaining about this FurID joke, so how about some encouragement to counter that energy? The timing did throw me off since it's a full day early for me, but that's a good gag! For a moment it rides the line of Poe's Law, because these dumb laws are something we gotta think about. But I mean... I feel like the joke gives itself away with just how ridiculous the premise is! For how much insanity Poe's Law does cover these days, it's just a couple steps too insane, especially for a site like e6.
I'm someone who always braces for whatever mean fuckery people are gonna do for April Fools, hoping the sites or services I use don't mess with me just so they can have a laugh at my expense. This was a light-hearted prank, and yea I was fooled and unsure for a while. Maybe getting super buttmad is a perfectly valid response to being bamboozled and (very) mildly inconvenienced by FurID. Maybe laughing at being got by such a silly premise and going along with the fun is just as valid though. I like the response that makes my day better, and let's me appreciate the time and effort Staff put into it!
