Sorry, it's just that it's been three months since I made this and #67076 and I wanted to check the status.

Bumping within individual topics is discouraged

There's a disproportionate amount of content that is attributed to Snoot Game and Cavemanon but is not attributed to the actual developers of Goodbye Volcano High. Of the 10k tags that Goodbye Volcano High has, only 44 of them contain the KO_OP developer tag. And there's certainly more than 44 tags of exclusively GVH content on this platform.

This includes characters that are otherwise exclusive to Goodbye Volcano High and make no appearance in Cavemanon products, such as Nick, or Sabah. Many simply feature OCs but are attributed to Cavemanon and Snoot Game anyway as a default. Hell, the tags themselves properly credit the characters as characters from 'Goodbye Volcano High' and yet many of these do not contain a default KO_OP tag.

Generally this site is pretty good about tagging properly but this is a particularly unique oversight, especially since Cavemanon and Snoot Game already have an implication tag, based on characters they don't even own. There is plenty of controversy around Snoot Game and Cavemanon products which some may not want to engage with, and would prefer to instead simply engage with GVH content. Plus, its simply bad practice to feature characters and not give proper credit to the studio that has actually developed and designed said characters. Its especially heinous that such characters are instead attributed to another company entirely that had nothing to do with their inception.

I don't want to hurl accusations of favortism, but when E621 slips Cavemanon in as one of the 'top copyright tags' on social media posts its a bit frustrating when the entire tagging system as it is now is set up for them to win.

I wonder what would happen if they put snoot game or cavemanon into the blacklist, and/or just searched goodbye volcano high directly

AIBUR isn't approved
⇒ Obviously it must be favouritism

omg my clothed-* BUR was approved but my nude-* but wasn't, this is obvious bias towards clothing

90% of the art that you'd actually want to see would go missing, because again, there is a significant tendency to cross-tag posts even if they don't necessarily coincide with each other. As I said in my post. Because much of it is either tagged incorrectly (intentionally so often times, I know one user was banned having tried to do that) or it is tagged vaguely. Again, as I said in the post, a lot of that side of the fandom will see dino art resembling GVH, SG, Wani, or some other thing, and just automatically tag it as Snoot Game and Cavemanon, even if said characters don't show up in either products.

This makes it difficult to even filter it out because you effectively filter out most of the GVH art with it because of how stuff is tagged on here. An implied tag would help both give the developers the proper credit to their own franchise and help create better tagging nuance. Ofc the whole tagging fiasco between GVH and SG is a mess, but it would be a start.

Numbers, numbers, numbers, this is interesting. I wonder if the uploaders are from those specific communities, and the KOOP/SG tags are being used based on which community uploads that particular work? I suppose I'd have to browse FA with actual intent (yikes) for a change, but if that's the case, then it's obviously wrongly being used here. Knowing the crowds on both sides, though, I'm confidently positive that this would happen.

Autists of the internet, please put down the brush and touch grass, I hear its good for you.

Because until yesterday, there was no implication for GVH to imply ko_op game dev. Those 44 were from someone adding it manually. This is literally as deep as it goes, there is no conspiracy against GVH and KO_OP here.

It is already mentioned on the snoot_game wiki page that it should only be present when snoot game specific things are in the picture. If you see it added where it shouldn't be, remove it, and you can report user(s) who mistag it. Users have received records and bans for mistagging it, it doesn't go unpunished if repeated.
