Topic: [Feature] Adding tags to your blacklist directly on a post or search page

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

I would really like to see this as a feature. Furaffinity added it and it's actually really nice and I'm surprised it wasn't already implemented on here. Basically, it would work by clicking a button next to a tag and it would add the tag to your blacklist without you ever having to navigate to your settings page every time you come across a new tag you don't want to see. Perhaps even giving a little pop-up box asking if you want to customize the blacklist entry (for things like "tag -tag").

Tricky to do in terms of UI, but would be an actually good feature.

besides the button to edit the blacklist that's already there on the post/post search?

If you mean the option to disable some of the filters, yeah. This would basically be an option to fully add a tag to the blacklist rather than modifying your search results.

In the posts page (whether the index or on a post itself) open the menu and click the option that says blacklist

That lets you edit the blacklist, sure, but still have to manually put the tag in. This feature wouldn't be too helpful for those who know how the blacklist works, but I think it would help for those who don't.

I think the problem is that it's be really easy to misclick an "add to blacklist" button if it was just on the tagslist.

Honestly FA had the genius idea of instantly allowing you to add a tag to the blacklist with one click, the "blacklist menu here helps but it's not too intuitive.

Maybe to avoid accidental blocks make it something really noticeable, maybe a thumbs down on the right of the tags list, aligned in a straight row?
Being on the polar opposite of the ?+- that are on the left should differentiate it enough

Lucky you, it got added! At least on desktop I can now over over a tag and an eye icon will appear on the right, letting you blacklist in one click!
Unsure about mobile as I just noticed this a few minutes ago and have yet to check e621 on my phone
