Reason: Renaming a character because every time I type 'atremath' it feels like something I named him because I thought it sounded cool when I was 12

(Side note, should I start uploading new stuff of him under the adelaide_(acluelessbull) tag? I've been still uploading things tagged as "atremath" to keep them consolidated)

An alias would be preferred over a mass update in this case.
An alias would permanently move all current and future posts to the new character tag.
A mass update would not do that (only moving the current posts) and it will leave atremath as a valid and separate tag.

You would also have to consider that old posts outside of e621 may still call the character Atremath, whether it be from your own gallery or from another artist's, people who come across them may continue tagging your character as atremath instead.

It doesn't matter. Use the new tag immediately is what I would do as this BUR request may take a while to be approved.
