You've read it right ladies and gentleman. For me, the first artist I've seen was Dr. Comet. I thought his art was cool and then it made me browse for others. What about you guys?

Can't remember :/ Was browsing AerisDies (yay still exists! :P), saw a "Furry" category and all went downhill from there... don't remember where I clicked first.

It was DJ Kovu for me. Never really looked up any "furry" art until a year or 2 ago though, just came across his stuff when I was young(around 2005). I got curious one day and Googled "Horses Mating" and that started my animal porn obsession Lol

Narse was mine. I'm sure I've seen some before his, but nothing I ever took interest to.

It was a pic of Krystal drawn by DrComet. But i don't remember which one it was or where i've found it.

I had been looking for porn on KaZaA when I saw a picture filename that I thought was intriguing (something about a bunny girl). Seeing the picture was like a strobelight to my brain -- it was just amazing. I started looking for similar stuff and eventually made my way to VCL (which was a freaking treasure trove).

I browsed around VCL for a while as well as a bunch of the small little galleries sites that everyone used to have. Then it was Fchan, until that was effectively killed off by their DNP and batshit admin. As annoying as some of the problems surrounding FurAffinity have been, I admit being impressed with how long-lived it's been.

Not to be weird, but it's fun to remember :)

Define "furry artist". I could go with Walt Disney or Warner Bros (Disney movies and Looney Tunes), Benimaru Itoh (Nintendo Power Star Fox comic), or more contemporary pr0n-producing artists, at which point the answer is probably Jeremy Bernal. Though the first artist whose name I could recognize would definitely have been Dr. Comet, followed by Kousoku/Sindoll.

I'd come across the porn for years before I actually found myself attracted to it, but one of the earliest artists I remember getting turned on by was Jay Naylor and his "Selfless Love" comic. Palbo and all.

It's a stretch, but to go even further, it'd be Nintendo's for Fox & Krystal in Star Fox Adventures. Yeah, so original, amirite?

Yep thats it! It spiked my hatred for furries.

Forgot his name now, but he was a friend of a friend and a somewhat popular furry artist. The friend told me about him and ended up here, I guess. Began with "luv" or something. Haven't seen his art in a long time.

I don't remember, but if I had to guess it was probably blotch or zen...

Well, somehow I ended watching Dogs days of summmer by Blotch, and that weird little red hood comic by Jay Naylor (Really, world domination? seriusly? XD)

No idea.
Some of the first ones that I can name were Karri Aronen, S.Barber, Doug Winger and EK Goya.

But the first furry pics that I saw were downloaded from a small BBS back in ~1993. Including this:
