It's been quite a while since you've posted your question and no girls have helped you out. It's easy to find the answer, here. Really, it's almost obvious.

Whenever I hear a guy ask OP's question, they're usually looking for fun. But it's not totally true that women that want real relationships only want rich or powerful men.

It depends on the girl. I for one like femme boys. Muscles turn me off. A smooth toned body is nice. Moneys always a plus. But a guy who knows how to treat me right loves me and takes care of / putsnup with my crazy quirks will always get my vote. Also...I HATE players. My last bf was one...nearly destroyed me trying to put up with the amount of girls he slept with. So never again...

TRW, I'm gonna give you the best advice on this. It was given to me and I'm gonna pass it on to you.

First off, you're doing this wrong. You're asking a small sampling of women (females on this site) what they want in a guy.
If you ask this question to the general public, most women are gonna tell you "it all depends on girl." And for the most part, they're right.

But in truth, there is an AVERAGE type of guy that the majority of women (in industrialized nations, I assume you're in one) are attracted to.

It's impossible to predict what ONE woman might want in a guy. But if you take a larger sampling of women, 1,000, or 5,000, or 10,000 a clear pattern emerges.

Go online and look at women's answers to this question. You're going to see an overall preference in regards to body type, attitude, income, style, personality. And if you really want to begin attracting women overall, you can start to style your own personal characteristics based upon the pattern you see.

All throughout high-school, I never had girls interested in me. After getting info from a large sampling of women from a men's mag, it turns out I was too shy and introverted. Where there are some girls that like that, the MAJORITY of girls do not. So I can tell you firsthand that when I addressed that personal characteristic, I began to attract more girls and I eventually found one to stick with.

Everyone seems to think I'm trying to get girls or that I just started working out or something, I'm not, I was just interested to see, since there seems to be an extremely standardised image of the ideal woman, but less so of the ideal man, or maybe that's just my perception;

Before drama ensues and throws us back to the middleschool days, im going to bring us back on point. I for one prefer a smaller sized guy, being only 5'4 and 115lbs myself I find it incredibly awkward trying to be with someone over 5'8, trying to kiss and cuddle well... Its just awkward. As for build, superbuilt scares me, I dont like someone who cant at least try and maintain a decent figure, doesnt need to be a model by any means, just not a 500lb couch potato. For me looks are only a quarter of the package. Personality is a solid half cuz if the guy looks like brad pitt and is a prick then he might as well look like carrot top cuz it kills it all. And the other quarter is sexual and intimacy stuffs... nuff said.

When I look for a bf/gf I usually look for personality, compatibilty, then a reasonable appearance; nothing else really matters, although I do kinda like a few traits, dark hair, dark eyes, etc

I did I just wanted to clarify I'm proud of my body since I put a lot of work into it and I think I may have a very mild thyroid condition, it takes me a LONG time to lose weight but I'm getting through it.

Most don't, really. 'Some' people do, my gf of course, but with the association of feminine guy → gay and having not really lived in the most lgbt-friendly location, I never really got much positive attention. Most of my fun stems from my gf.

Here at college, the situation is much better. Haven't really noticed too much interest, but I guess I don't go out much. There was one girl that quite rather liked me during that summer engineering program though.

I honestly do not know how this happens but the ladies who hit on me tend to be of Mediterranean origin and more pate. Because of my Demisexuality I'm more into ladies who look up to me as a friend and slowly go from there, otherwise my parents might not like the girl I'm dating
