I'm not sure if this has been covered, but aren't pokemon technically wild until caught?

This alias suggestion is so wrong that I don't even know where to begin.
1. If feral tag meant what you suggest, that even then alias is wrong. Not all pictures tagged as pokemon contains any pokemon. It's copyright tag.
2. Even if feral tag meant what you suggest, and pokemon tag would mean species instead then still there are pictures of not wild pokemons.
3. Finally. Feral tag does not mean whether it's wild animal/pokemon or not. It means how much it resembles human. All standard nidorans or rattatas would get feral tag. All lucarios or hitmonlees would not get feral tag.

Yes, but more importantly, an alias means replacing tag with another, what you want would be an implication. However, feral is used for nonanthro animals, while pokemon is a copyright tag, so if only ash is in the pic it would need to be tagged with pokemon and would then get the feral tag, without something feral being there.
You could argue implicating feral to all pokemon, however that would screw with anthro depictions of pokemon. So also a bad idea.

Feral has nothing to do with pokemon.....also the feral tag can be used on images that are not pokemon. This tag alias is just wrong in so many ways.

Pretty sure they meant implication, not alias. You nerds.

I guess I misunderstood the whole alias thing, I just meant that are there some pokemon that should also have the feral tag?

Yeah, but it shouldn't depend on whether pokemon has trainer or not. But rather on how much anthropomorphic pokemon is.
I mean, this rattata:

should be tagged feral.
This rattata:

shouldn't get feral tag since it's anthrofied.
But there are also pokemons, like hitmonchan that are anthro even in their original form.
So, to sum up, some pictures with pokemons need feral tag but it should be done by manual tagging. Implication or alias is invalid.

I hope you're joking, because even in addition to all the other reasons listed, quite a few pokemon aren't even feral in the first place.
