Topic: Upload old art with the post date correct to the art's creation

Posted under Art Talk

I'm not sure if this is considered Art Talk or General, so I'll just slap it into Art Talk.
So, I've been going through the art I've made ever since late-ish 2017, and I have been considering uploading a bunch of it onto here, for archival reasons and the like. A majority of art I've posted on here are just animations, because FA doesn't support any proper video file types (as of writing, that I'm aware of).
However, to my current knowledge, uploading art will just have the post be chronologically sorted by post date, and not by when the art was actually made.
Is there a way to upload works onto here, and correct the post date to match up to when the art itself was created? Thanks.
I apologize if this feature exists and I'm just blind.

Unfortunately no, post ids are sequential

The best we have are the year tags, but that'll be out of order for everything within the year

I guess I'll go ahead with that tagging then.

Please do add year tags to all your art if you can. It is valuable meta information

Will do; I never even knew about the yearly tags until right now.

You could also add the day and month in the description, not as convenient to search but still possible if standardized

Off topic but while we're here, e6 recently added digital art program meta tags if you'd like to add those to your art! (ex. clip_studio_paint_(artwork), blender_(artwork), vegas_pro_(artwork)). I can also add it for you in bulk with tag scripts if needed, just let me know which groups of posts were made with what programs.
The medium and year tags are both interesting meta information that's difficult or impossible for third party taggers to add, so I very much appreciate it when artists add it themselves.

That's what I have been thinking of doing; it's gonna be a pain in the butt, but, having accurate dates of the art's creation in the description is the second best I could do.

Given the little amount of pictures/2D animation I've done (that are present on this website), I'll do it myself; biggest appreciation in offering that.
I'm also gonna add the year dates when I get the time to go through the posts.

3D programs have tags as well btw!

Don't forget to look at metadata... Kind of have to do that to detect nearest-origin-sources, anyways. It only tells you when a file was exported, but that's often the same thing, effectively.
