huh, i wonder if they should maybe be changed to target albino since it's a more obscure tag

That was something I was wondering as well while making this. It would make a tad more sense to me.

plus, it affects autocomplete. Image searching albino but it doesn't show because there are 10 other species tags on top of it

The bulk update request #9785 is active.

remove alias albino_fox (0) -> fox (381177)
remove alias albinokoopasona (0) -> koopa (18246)
remove alias albino_cheetah (0) -> cheetah (21040)
remove alias albino_hyena (0) -> hyena (46512)
remove alias albino_peacock (0) -> peafowl (2552)
create alias albino_deer (7) -> albino (3122)
create alias albino_rabbit (16) -> albino (3122)
create alias albino_raccoon (9) -> albino (3122)
create alias albino_rat (9) -> albino (3122)
create alias albino_mouse (8) -> albino (3122)
create alias albino_snake (3) -> albino (3122)
create alias albino_wolf (3) -> albino (3122)

Reason: Unaliasing and aliasing the major ones
Followup:
alias albino_fox -> albino
alias albinokoopasona -> albino
alias albino_cheetah -> albino
alias albino_hyena -> albino
alias albino_peacock -> albino

EDIT: The bulk update request #9785 (forum #425465) has been approved by @spe.

On the other hand, someone could be more likely to just tag albino_<species> on its own. Aliasing to albino would cause the species to go untagged, which I would think is the more important tag.

Looking through the tag history (at least for albino_rabbit) that doesn't seem to be the case, they've usually added * alongside albino_*
