People who have furry characters, are there settings you put them in, or do they kinda exist in a vacuum wherever they need to be?

I have a couple settings, but I haven't put all of my characters somewhere yet.

Airyria was an experiment on a spaceship that gained sentience.
Silent_Rain was a royal concubine and guard.
Prezella and Taugit have no lore.

TTU was a black hole who came to life spontaneously in the distant future and created a galaxy out of sheer loneliness. Zhishaa is a member of the first intelligent species she ever created.

Amialido Amdodo and his girlfriend Shielle Spineback are the stars of a fictional 107-year-old cartoon that I'm actively working on expanding the world of.

Most of my other characters are fan characters of some sort, though there are exceptions (most of which I either haven't yet drawn or haven't yet had a pic accepted of)... Oh yeah, Utah P. Teasdale is one that there are some pics of. She wasn't created for any setting in particular, she saw the most use on a crossover roleplay board.

I generally say that my 'sona (in my avatar) used to exist on her home world, but was captured by a powerful magical phoenix to be used in their experiments. One of said experiments was teleportation, and she found herself teleported to whatever Earth-like world I need her to be on. Luckily, most worlds have forests where she can hide out in.
