Topic: Manly Gynomorph

Posted under General

Gynomorph on the ? link is described as "an intersex character with a feminine body type, penis / balls, breasts, but no pussy. Feminine characteristics may include wide hips, eyelashes, lack of facial hair, and so on." However it's been stated in this forum that any more masculine looking with breast and a penis is also slapped with the gynomorph tag.

My question is how can you find more of the latter when 90% of the gynomorph images will give you the characters with a more feminine looking appearance? How do I find a gynomorph with the build of a muscular male with breasts?

My first thought is the gynecomastia tag, combined with -femboy. Also I want to say that male characters that look feminine and have feminine looking breasts are pretty weird to tag since you cant really tell them apart from a female character with a penis. Luckily the male_(lore) exists.

I checked and it seems like most of the posts have the masculine looking "moobs" breasts, so I guess not.

It also helps that gynomorph isnt a gendered term.

I think that's the problem I'm running into. The gynomorph isn't a gendered term, but the images you find will almost always show characters with feminine characteristics. They are basically feminine all over but with a penis. Gynecomastia is a medical condition and doesn't feel right tagging. The male_(lore) doesn't produce lots of results because no one uses it. I will try these tags out in the future.

Actually, though I've been not looking at the forums for a long time, there's been an ongoing war over the "bustyboy" concept (A man with female breasts,) with its aficionados creating a new workaround tag every so often when the last one gets caught and aliased away.
Unfortunately the main impetus behind this seems to revolve around a character who's only male from the neck up, and while checking I found another plain gynomorph I recognised identified by fans as a "bustyboy" so even if it were a legal tag you'd be sifting those out of all your results as it gets mistagged for gender identity instead of bodytype.
You may find some results searching that term on other art sites, but an unfortunate reality here is people tend to associate breasts with the rest of the female form and draw them hand-in-hand as a matter of course.

Constant workarounds might imply a need for a tag whether as a general twys compliant tag or a lore tag, crotchboobs were also similarly once suppressed back in 2016 however it seems its gained legitimate usage while I was last was away in 2020/2023.

This discussion is related to this other recent discussion that was had over the definition of what manly should actually be or other ways of covering manly females topic #45856
The discussion never really came to a conclusion though.

Also improper perceptions/priorities are not something we should be protecting/supporting/preserving. A character having breasts should not mean that we all but ignore all other masculine qualities to an character anatomy, no more than muscles alone and only muscles can make females manly.

I'm generally in agreeance of this, not arguing for it to be the case.

My posts come from a perspective of observing

  • How tagging intended to function in theory
  • How users tag in practice

And one or both of these often have inherent problems
