Topic: Duo bodied(taur-like) merfolk on flippers, what would they be?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Didnt see anything on this subject, so I was wondering do flippers count as legs/limbs? Are these in fact taurs?

If not how could these be tagged that is distinguishable from stereotypical mermaid style merfolk?

some of these are presently tagged as taur however its my understanding that merfolk are not tagged as taur if Im not mistaken?

Also what of merfolk that dont have flippers but have lower bodies that exhibit a more complete specimen(torso/body) of a derivative species rather than just a tail or partial(ex: tentacles) of a species?

Draconcopode has similar issues.

in my opinion, if the human/anthro upper body replaces the neck/head of the feral it's taur, regardless of method of locomotion.

if it's a roughly even split, human/anthro upper half on top of feral lower half it's not.
