Topic: How to I make this tab combo?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I’m trying to make a tag combo for my blacklist that will allow only webms that have sound, and have either the tag “cum_in_pussy” or the tag “cum_in_ass”. I’ve got the former part down, but can’t seem to get the latter part to work. What would I put in my blacklist to get this result?

blacklisting webm -cum_in_pussy -cum_in_ass should hide all .webm posts unless they're tagged cum_in_pussy or cum_in_ass.

Add no_sound to this to hide posts that don't have sound

Blacklist: webm no_sound -cum_in_pussy -cum_in_ass

no_sound is kind of an under-used tag, though. Try adding audible_ejaculation to your searches if that's what you're after.

Why does it even exist, we shouldn't be tagging defaults, and no sound is the default, and just an inversion of sound

The thing is that for some reason everything (including everything from here) I've tried doesn't work. It's also not any other tag screwing with it, the closest I can get is:
-webm
webm no_sound
webm -cum_inside

The same reason the term "silent film" exists.

By that argument then sound has no reason to exist
There's a big difference between a movie which is expected to have sound, and most animations which won't have sound, thus making no sound the default state, and not needing a tag

What defines the default state is expectations, I personally expect videos to have audio to them, but you apparently expect them to be silent. Sound and the no_sound tag are both useful, as creates a situation where you can search for videos which have neither tag to tag them properly for one or the other, instead of a video without the tag being a potential wildcard.

You could say that for any tag. People expect posts here to have sex in them, others don't have that expectation. A post must either contain sex or not contain sex, so sex and no_sex both would be useful as you can search for posts that have neither tag to properly tag it. Same for solo posts and masturbation/no_masturbation.

Regardless of what "the default" is, a post must either have sound or not have sound, so you can tag when the post is one way and infer it's the other when lacking the tag. If sound or no_sound is undertagged, adding the other tag won't make it be tagged more, it just leaves us with two undertagged tags instead of one (and divides focus on people willing to help tag them, as some taggers will focus on adding sound and neglect adding no_sound, and others focus on adding no_sound and neglect adding sound, rather than having us all focus on ensuring the one tag is added where appropriate). IMO, it makes more sense to have sound be a tag, to avoid potential misuse of no_sound getting tagged on still images, gifs, or apngs that can't have sound.

You are making this far more complicated than it really is and making a really bad strawman that I removed from the quote. Having only one leads to the ambiguity issue I just stated, and you dismissed.

Webms are the only format as of this time that can be uploaded and has sound on this site. So you just search "webm -sound -no_sound" to find uncategorized webms. Same can be applied to future formats that have the potential for sound on the site.

Rather than having just -sound or -no_sound be a mix of stuff which has not been categorized and lacks the tag in question, which complicates the process for everyone because it allows stuff to slip through the cracks. Having both(and the work put into them to maintain them already) makes posts which are undertagged more visible.
